As the Worlds population is growing, the UN Sustainable development goal 12.3 is to halve per capita global food waste at the retail and consumer levels by 2030 and reduce food losses along production and supply chains, including post-harvest losses.

RESUS FOOD will work to reduce food waste in several ways:

  • Develop products where leftover products from the primary industry are included.
  • Use sustainable packing material which gives the longest possible shelflife and thereby less waste in retail and at the consumers.
  • Help consumers with recipes on alternative use of leftovers.
  • Adjust the weight on products to fit one meal.
